We are an orthopedic practice based clinic looking for a Medical Doctor or Osteopath to join our expanding team! This physician should be an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities exemplify their concern for their patients. The ideal candidate will work with our surgeons providing internal, orthopedic and personal injury care to help our patients improve outcomes and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities


Osteopath/MD job requirements include:
  • meeting, assessing and diagnosing patients
  • prescribing patients with appropriate medication, health regimens and lifestyle adjustments that will contribute to their recovery
  • Performs therapeutic joint injections- trigger point injections and joint injections
  • prevention of future health issues and promoting a healthier lifestyle
  • work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care
  • coordinate with other providers to help the patient to achieve their health goals
  • order laboratory and radiology tests and refer patients to specialists when appropriate
  • analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose conditions and propose treatment options
  • prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimes to treat identified and documented medical conditions
  • discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients 
  • ensure all allergy information is up to date before prescribing
  • provide advice and recommendations for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health/injury issue they are experiencing
  • adhere to company's policies, procedures and objectives
  • adhere to ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and infection control standards
  • record complete, timely documentation in the EMR
  • maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws
  • providing patients with health services that meet state and national standards

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting
  • Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments and health regimens to treat patient health issues and injuries 
  • Experience with basic trigger point injections
  • Experience collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues
  • Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, positive, effective patient experiences
Education:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited United States medical school.
  • Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.
  • Board certification in primary care or related field from residency
  • Board Licensed Physician in the state of California.
  • Current DEA
  • BC/BE (Preferred)
